Ok girls so if you remember i was having to move the wedding from one place to another bc my dad got mad about the price... soooooooo i moved it to my uncle yacht club and wow do him and his wife have major issues with the way i have been decerating just causing me to stress and not even want to get married... sooooooo yesterday FH came home and said 'you know how u think i don't care?' I was like ya and he goes here call this number. Holbrook Country Club, so we went there and today and he totally matched my price of what I was looking for... hmm my wedding on July 1,2006 which is a saturday night in the summer went from $30,000 to less then $10,000 wow does FH care or was he tired of hearing me complain about this and that and how my family really *****!!! lol soooooo we booked on the spot today and it is set for the Holbrook Country club! I am so happy and just had to let you know!

I thought that place closed down.. that there was a big drama with the owners or something and it closed?!?!
Well I guess it is obviously not closed.. but that is so exicting.. did they redocorate or anything because it must be new owners now.

Ya they did get new owners i only know bc my fh job delivers the food to their place and they were talking about it and that is why he gave us a great deal!

Yes, the HCC closed back at the beginning of January 2005. My best friend (dottiemchugh) was scheduled to get married there on 2/12/05, and found out about the place closing, without notice, about 6 weeks before the wedding. Furtunately, it DOES have new owners that, from what I hear, are very nice. Good luck and congratulations on finding the hall!!!
