I finally finished up my invites and they will be mailed this week.
Invitations was a tough decision for me. When I first started my wedding planning I knew my invitations were something I was going to spend money on. For me they set the tone to your event. I instantly fell in love with pocketfold invites, but DAMN $$$$. With 160 invites to send out, I couldn't justify spending the amount vendors wanted. After seeing other girls attempt the project here, I knew I could handle it.
Our photographer took amazing engagement shots, when we got our proof back there was one picture which we knew we wanted incorporate with our invitations. When I saw Jess printed hers on vellum and put it right over the writting, it was EXACTLY the finishing touch on the invite I was looking for. Plus I found my favorite new font Zapfino from her! Jess - you have great taste...thanks for all your help!
All together including ribbons, all paper, glue, etc each invite cost me $4.65 (including taxes). They were not that hard to put together either :)
Here it is...
