FINALLY!!!!!!!! My completed invites ready to mail! UPDATED WITH DIRECTIONS!
Original post by enjft
Ladies,
This by far was one of the hardest parts of the wedding planning. Not only did my sis make the pockets by hand, but I had to design each invite, print each envelope one by one, even took it a step further and typed each guest name on the RSVP. But I wouldn't take it back for anything. They came out EXACTLY how I wanted them.
UPDATED
Wanted to give directions for all the brave DIY'ers
For the pockets I would have to ask my sis since I just purchased the paper and she did all the cutting and scoring. I would highly suggest just buying the pockets from cardsandpockets.com
For the inserts I took all the measurements from cardsandpockets.com, then created them all in photoshop. I have no idea how to use photoshop but once you know how use text boxes you will be fine. The swirly design is a brush I purchased and installed in photoshop (I can send it to you if that helps).
Insert sizes 5 x 3.5 5 x 4.25 5 x 5 5 x 5.75
For the envelopes, I created these in words in text boxes and just made sure I used the same font that I did on the invites. It was easier to use word than publisher for me. So I created a new word doc in the size of the envelope (6.5 x 6.5), then made sure the wording was where I wanted it. Alot easier than it looks but very time consuming.
I can send you templates if anyone needs?
