Finally picked our favor, now I need your input please

Okay some of you know FH & I have gone back and forth on this one.. lol

He wants personalized, I wanted something unique so we decided on a CD.

Here is my initial list of songs.. I burned them to hear how it flows.. and i like it so far.. but since you guys can't hear it.. here is the list, any suggestions? changes? advice?

Your My First, My Last, My Everything by Barry White (Our entrance song)

My Destiny by James Brickman with Christina Aguliera (first dance)

Beautiful (as You) by All-4-One (song FH dedicated to me)

Unforgettable by Nat King Cole and Natalie Cole (standard song, but I love it)

Embraceable by Johnny Mathis (my mom's fav)

It Had to Be You by Frank Sinatra (something to break the rhythm, plus it's a fav of mine)

You're the Best the Thing that ever happen to me by Gladys Knight (song we are going to use for the parents dance)

I can't help falling in love with you by Elvis Presley (corny, but it always makes me tear up)

At Last By Etta James (traditional but love love this song, almost used it as first dance)

Vivir Lo Nuestro by India and March Anthony (love this song, and wanted to have atleast two spanish songs on the CD)

Cuba's Most Wanted Salsa by Willie Chirino with Celia Cruz ( chose this song because it's a great salsa song with the Queen of Salsa singing)

I melt with you by Jason Marz (this version is from 50 First Dates, FH loves this movie, and
I love the old version that came out in the 80's plus it has a hint of reggae)

By Your Side by Sade ( first song I dedicated to FH)

Angels Brought Me Here by Guy Sebastian ( another favorite song was in the running for first dance as well, might use as cake cutting)

I Love How you Love Me by Beth Oron ( one of my fav songs ever)

Flying without Wings by Ruben Studdard (when FH & I first started dating, he teased me about my addiction to American Idol, so it's a fitting tribute to that)

Love Never Fails by James Brickman with Amy Sky ( the words of this song are based on the verse from the bible, my father's best friend is our soloist and will be singing this at the ceremony)

You Raise me Up by Josh Groban (Daughter/Father Dance)

Wonderful World by Armstrong (sentimental favorite

Ain't No Mountain High Enough by Ensemble (American Idol 3) (This is a dedication to my group of friends)

Save the Last Dance for me by Temptations (last song of the night)

My only feedback is that this is going to be a VERY long CD -- maybe trim the list a little?

I love CD favors. I think they capture the 'mood' of the wedding and bring back memories.

love this idea! Great choices too. I agree with Deb....its a little long for a CD, but I don't know that many would feel the same way.

I'm going to suggest a song to add just b/c I was reminded of the song when I went to Duet and it was on one of their videos. I absolutely love it and I think it would go nicely next to the Jason Mraz song (and it was also in the movie but not on the soundtrack). The song is Somewhere Over the Rainbow by Israel 'IZ' Kamakawiwo'ole and you can listen to it
HERE . I think you've got a great list, and as long as it all fits on the 80 minute CD, I think you should keep them all. Why limit yourself to 60 minutes?

Christine... i LOVE that song!! it used to be on the 'E-toys' commercial.. i remember searching for it for WEEKS untl i finally found it.... i love it sooo much. Pookie... you should def check it out. The sample doesnt do it justice... the beginning of the song is sooo great!!

Yes I chose an 80 min CD, it is kind of long, but I don't think too many people will mind

I don't know how much space explaining the songs will take? hmmm gotta think about that..

I missed this post first time around. I'm doing CD's too..its hard to choose right?

I have to say Im using the somewhere over the rainbow version posted above on my video and on my CD too..I love it!

Ok..as far as this cd for you. I LOVE IT!!! I like a lot of songs..if someone doesnt like one, then they have lots more to choose from. I would stick with more versus less.

Great choices!! ETA- I would explain the meanings. I would love that on a CD, to understand why the songs were choosen.
