Ok we finally stopped procrastinating and I JUST registered us...We're going October 12th and 13th so its not bad...Friday its 7:30-9:30 and then sat 9-5...Anyone else doing pre-cana in douglaston those days?
It's that long? Our church does it on 3 different days.

i dont mind bc we do it in 2 days so its perfect...plus its not 8 hours straight we get a breaks

You don't necessarily have to wait. You can go right through the Diocese, but it costs money. I think in most parishes its free if you go right through them.
For us its the same price whether we go through our church or the diocese. We'll most likely have to go through the diocese because I'll be traveling for work one of the days our church offers it.

Ours is if we go right through the church with the 6 week in home program. We had to option of going though the Diocese which was $250, doing the weekend retreat which was $300 or basically just showing proof of completion from any parish. We chose the free version.

My officiant is my childhood pastor, so i'm kind of like, i hope she doesn't ask anything too personal!
well fh said hes answering every question honestly
im more worried about being asked for my religious views lol
the FOCCUS test 9If you are taking that) will ask you religious type questions. Like... are you in agreement to how much money you will donate to the church, or do you feel its important to have christ in your life.... FH and I just answered honestly . Its not that big o f a deal when FH and I went over the test with them they just pointed out areas where FH and I answered differently (and some questions are worded oddly so its easy to make a mistake)
the test is so silly FH was having a fit because the test was last normed 10 years ago (and as a psychologist - thats not a good thing)

lol i dont know it doesnt bother me, for me i prefer it bc its less days. So we just get it over with and this way we have more days free. If it was another weekday it would be a pain for me bc i work in jersey then i would have to take the train to fh's to meet up then get on the highway at that time to drive to douglaston so i dont want to do that on 2 workdays, ill already have to do it for the friday we have to attend...Then on a weekend, i dont want to wake up that early more than once lol and this way we still have a whole day to enjoy our weekend.

yeah we scored pretty high we got in the 80% for just about all of them and finacial 100% but also what they didnt tell us was that if you put unsure it automatically comes up wrong. I think parental involovement in relationship was the only one we scored lower on and that was because FH put unsure for a lot because we arent married or have kids and we dont know what our parents are going to try to do as far as telling us what to do. Even though FH knows i will jsut tell my mom to back up!
Im so giving away everything about this test.

oh yeah with religion we have the same views also.. when it came to the question about having an agreement on how much to contribute to the church we both thought the same thing (we realized when we talked about it later) we both though.. 'yeah zero'

LOL thanks for all the info gina. Its funny bc i told FH about us answering the same and what we dont we go over that...Im like but not sure exactly what type of questions so we started asking eachother questions to see if we know the answer about the other one, the funniest was fh bc he said HEY we got this ok remember we are the newlywed game champions, and we beat a married couple i guess i shouldn't worry
then i say to FH yeah but even simple things with you is hard bc your answer is always different, depends on your mood...For example his favorite color lol, and he doesnt have 1 but it goes by season
well it'd be easy if we got asked those questions but we wont
