Finally, some help

my fh is so great...he talked to his mom today and told her he's upset that they haven't offered to help with anything as far as the wedding is concerned. he feels bad that my dad is paying for everything and they have yet (97 days left) to see if they can do anything. well, she offered the RD but I'm not sure that we're going to be given one by our preist, he doesn't like them. so i told my baby that he should ask her if she wouldn't mind picking up one of the side details like flowers and church or dj or limos so that my dad has some break of some sort.

crossing my fingers....i hope she comes through b/c i feel bad too. by the way, she just told him now that she will start putting money aside - hello...wouldn't she have started that before we got engaged (she knew it was coming)..anyway i guess i'll take what i can get!!!

FH and I are paying for the whole wedding and honeymoon by ourselves, I'm sure our families will give us a nice wedding gift though...hopefully

I have a similar situation...it's so frustrating! My dad is paying for about 1/3 of the wedding...FH and I are taking care of the rest. FMIL mentioned something to FH about taking care of our HM...but hasn't said anything to me or what she has in mind...I keep telling FH that he has to talk to her about it bc when we're planning things we need to know if we're planning a week in the poconos or two weeks in Europe! Also, are they doing the 'traditional' groom's side of the family stuff..RD, etc- or only the honeymoon. It's so difficult to plan everything not knowing the exact details and it's so awkward to talk about the money issues.
