FINALLY...set up the hotel

After leaving many messages I finally set up a room block!

that was the most annoying part so far of this wedding planning.

However, once I finally spoke to someone it was easy.

that's great! Which hotel did you go with? Are you blocked at East Wind?

I blocked a few rooms at the East Wind and then also at the Holiday Inn. The EW was the easy part...the holiday inn never returned my calls. I finally got in touch with someone tonight.

I had a tough time w/ Holiday Inn too. But I think it will be smooth sailing from here.

How long in advance should you do this?? And how many rooms should you book?

at the east wind I did it a couple of months ago because there are so few rooms. At the Holiday Inn I still did it early (a year before). I have people coming from Canada so I don't want to miss out on rooms. The holiday inn didn't charge me anything to do it and won't charge for any rooms if I don't end up getting them booked...they will just release them 30 days prior to the wedding. So, it was worth doing it early.

I am doing this today. I have called all the hotels already and got the information but FH wants to actually look at the hotels.

I've been trying to get that out of the way but they keep telling me to call when its a year b4......I just want to be done with that part
