Re: Fine Art Photography & Videogrpahy--in Jericho
I am using them for my wedding in December. I received my engagement pictures back from them last week and they came out amazing. I will try to post once I get them scanned this weekend. I am looking forward to seeing how my wedding pictures come out. The photographers and staff there are very friendly anfd helpful. Good Luck!

I met with them. The guy was very nice. He was upfront about prices and what each package had in it. (NO OFFENSE TO ANYONE) I felt they were over priced for their work. It is nice, clear photos but I didn't think they were very creative.Again, this is JMO. Many brides rave about them on the board. My suggestion is to meet with them and decide for yourself.

I loved their work, but found the person we met with very arrogant (can't remember his name)- he just rubbed me the wrong way. This was one of the first photographers we met with, and I wasn't used to the high prices we were quoted (from many companies). When I suggested his price was too high, he commented to me that I should re-evaluate my wedding budget!
After that I didn't care how good their work was....just MHO.

Re: Fine Art Photography & Videogrpahy--in Jericho
I am using them for both photos and video. I really like them a lot. Everyone I dealt where there has been super nice to me. I also really liked the work I saw. Both this board and a very close friend (whose family has used them for 4 weddings so far) recommended them to me. I booked them months and months ago and I finally went for my engagement photos (a throw in the package) 2 weeks ago. They should be ready soon. I used Chuck for photos and he seems cool. He was fun to work with.Funny what Michele said...because I had an opposite experience. I felt compared to other vendors I saw Chuck's work was very creative. Not posed traditional stuff (not my thing).
My brother used them for his wedding last month. I haven't seen the raw footage video or proofs yet but I know he was very happy with them.
The one thing I can say is that they had a different video guy shot the church and the reception. I talked to the video guy that night about it and he said it is common and it depends on their schedule. He said you can request having the same guy all night. I would have never thought that would happen. My brother said he did not see a difference in his raw footage video (PS my brother was picky about the video people).
If you use them make sure you put the photographer's name you like in the contract.
As far as pricing, I know I was able to negotiate with them and they did come down in price. Photos are very impt to but looking at their prices I thought they were comparable to other places I visited.

thanks for your replies, girls.bridetobe---i'm curious to know how your brother's final video comes out...we saw the sample video that they had at their studio & we really liked it but for some reason i am having second thoughts...
do you know/remember if the videographer stayed until the end of the reception???
i think i am making myself crazy....

Re: Fine Art Photography & Videogrpahy--in Jericho
Honestly, I don't remember how long they stayed I was having too much fun to notice. My brother didn't complain about that so I guess it was fine....(he had complaints about a lot of little things from his wedding night). He really liked the raw footage...and video and limos were two things my brother was picky with for some reason.I have confidence in them but if you are second guessing, I would look around a little more to be safe. Then go back to them and see if you still like them best.

We checked them out and thought the photographer was really nice and we would feel comfortable with him. The pictures were nice but they were very traditional and I'm looking for more creative and photojournalistic shots. We were shown a sample video and really did not like it.

Re: Fine Art Photography & Videogrpahy--in Jericho
I'm using them for my wedding this November and feel very good about my decsion.I looked at a bunch of places but felt that Fine Art was by far the best. I think there prices might throw people but Pictures and vidio were high priority to me and was willing to spend alot to get what I wanted.
I know a few ppl a long time ago that had used them and were also very happy.
