Fine China

Just curious to know how many of you were able to receive a full set of your fine china between engagement parties, showers and wedding gifts?

My parents gave us all our china placesettings (8 for engagemnt, 4 for shower)! We havent had our shower yet so I dont know if we will get the accessories (they are $$$$) But if not we will slowly buy them ourselves

My MOH got all 8 place setting of hers between e-party, christmas from her mom and her shower. I think she also got the majority of her accessories.

We got the cheapest stuff out there- but its what we liked. We got a bunch for our e-party and mom finished up last year for Hanukkah. It was being discontinued. I think a complete place setting was like $75 and Macy's had it for like 50% every other week and Mom got it for 70% off.

My MIL bought us all 12 settings of our Vera Wang fine china and even all the accessories that I wanted.

We were fortunate enough that my FMIL and FFIL bought all 16 pieces of our china and every accessory that came with it!!

edited to add it was our engagement gift!!

FH gave me two place settings of our fine china as part of his proposal (he cooked dinner and served it on the dishes ) I just checked our registry and 5 more place settings have been purchased (four from mom and one I don't know who from) Hopefully I will have all of them (12 place settings)

I didnt recieve all of mine and I had an eparty and shower. I think I got 8 settings out of 10 that I registered for. I am hoping someone (mom) will finish it off for christmas..

We received 20 place settings. (Not including soup bowls, accents plates, accessories, etc.) A lot of people didn't buy it off of the registry, so my numbers never went down.
