Re: FIne China

We regisitered for it. I plan on using it for holidays and special occassions Plus... i figured, why not? When we buy a house and start having kids, it's probably something we won't feel the need to spend extra money on... It's something I don't think I would ever buy for myself but would love to have

jamie, i don't know what your everyday set is like, but for everyday i registered for Mikasa Italian Countryside which is technically china as well. A lot of people register for this as their fine china because it is like $49 per setting (or they sell service for 8 in a box for $199 - plus coupons 20% at BBB). It's a cheaper alternative for pretty china if you're worried about cost.

there is also french countryside by mikasa that is basically the same with a different pattern - also like $49 per setting or sold in the box

italian countryside

french countryside

ETA: they're actually only $39.99 per place setting and $199 for the box set service for 8 - 45 piece set.

No we didn't... I'm the kind of person that wouldn't use it even if we had it. I'm too laid back to be that fancy
