I made the 'Monster In Law' Poncho but ran into a few snags in the instructions. The front was supposed to be the whole thing. No way would that fit around me... I even tried to fit it around my little cousin and it was way too small. I ended up making another one and slip stitching them together. Here are 2 pics. Did anyone else try this one? Did you have the same problem?
have you tried making two granny squares and connecting them together?

I never tried the granny square method.. How do you do that? How would you put the 2 squares together to make the point in the front and in the back? Any info you could provide would be awesome since I have no clue.. LOL

theres a video called crochet from start to finish-ing with Bev Dillon...don't laugh it's a really old video ....... but she gives alot of pointers on how to connect squares....make afghans and a whole bunch of other stuff...:

Thanks for the tip!... I'll have to look out for it and try it out.. I basically taught myself all I know with the help of a woman at work, so the more I learn, the better I'll be...LOL
