Finished Pre-cana!!! yay!

FH & I finished our interfaith pre-cana today (I'm lutheran), I have to say I enjoyed it way more than him!!!! and he's the catholic one! It was at Immaculate Conception in Douglaston Queens- the couple was AWESOME!!!! funny, honest, and truly encouraging!! they showed us that marriage can be such a beautiful blessed thing!! If you still haven't gone, I recommend going there (it's not just for interfaith couples)


Oh, and there was a segment where we had to write a 'love letter' to each other on why we want to spend the rest of our lives together......and FH's letter actually made me tear up........he is so not open with emotions, and what he wrote was just so beautiful! I couldn't help but cry! it felt nice to cry happy tears!!! between that and getting our e-pics, today was just so wonderful!!! We topped it off by going to Outback....yum!!!

YEEAA Congrats Helen! That's a huge check off the list!!! So glad you had a great experience!

I know what you mean about how special it is when your FH opens up like that.... FH wrote a love letter to me but we were told to put it in a 'capsule' and we have to choose a date in the future to read it. We had to write what we hoped for in our marriage...how we would be as a wife/husband. I was wondering where the capsule went- and FH hid it! What a little romantic!

mmmmm Outback....we love Outback! I think I like it for the salad though....

I forgot to add, we also picked up 'the kitchen sink' literally! we bought one from Home Depot, so now our granite can get done for our countertop! yay! I love productivity!
