FIRE! I witnessed this morning on my way to work...

I hope that link works. But I was on my way to work this morning and there was a multifamily dwelling that was blazing! I had just gotten off the bus and was on my way to the train station and there were just flames EVERYWHERE! Coming out of every corner... even the roof!
My first thought was... I HOPE NO ONE IS HOME! But of course there were. Firefighters rescued 3 people. They had to take the child bars off the window to get in to the trapped people. They used a ladder with a bucket thing. The fire blocked all fire escapes and so no one could get out. They were all literally tapped in there. The windows were shattering from the heat.
When I got off the bus I could see the blue siding on the house... then within the 30 feet I walked to the corner.... the siding was TOTALLY gone! It was super fast and I've never seen anything like it in my life. We all just stood there with our mouths open! I've been thinking about it all day long and I just had to see if everyone got out ok. Turns out they did. I think I even saw one guy get out in a T shirt and boxers.
How horrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!
To those FDNY guys that worked on that fire this morning....
9 firefighters got hurt. But they are ok.

I know!
I was just about to go down to the L train on Myrtle and Wyckoff. I just walked straight passed the L train entrance and straight to the corner. I couldn't believe what I was watching! It was sooo shocking! I turned around and all the people from the bus were right behind me with their mouths open just like me!
I'm still a little shocked at how intense it looked.

WoW! I'm so glad everyone got out safely! I cannot even imagine how scary it must be to be trapped inside a fire!
