Re: Fire Island

I used to have a share in Seaview, and would highly recommend this area for families. You are close enough to Ocean Beach and Ocean Bay Park for nightlife, but far enough for peace and quiet. The beach is amazing there (or at least was last year).

Sailors Haven is nice too, close to the sunken forest. No homes here-it's a nice day trip from Sayville. Beach is public.

Have fun!!

I agree about Seaview too I had a house in Ocean Bay Park for 5 summers and it is definitely the best of both worlds

Re: Fire Island

I second Sailor's Haven. FH and I live only a very short walk to the Sayville ferries (bought our house in December) and can't wait to take the ferry over to Sailor's Haven all summer long! Of course, FH can't wait to get a boat so we don't have to take the ferry!

Re: Fire Island

Watch Hill or Davis Park. I grew up in Patchogue and spent many many days at both beaches. They are great for families!
