Has anyone ever gone to Fire Island for a bachelorette party?? Im torn between Fire Island and Ocean City...if I do Fire Island more can go if I do Ocean City I have never been there and keep being told I will love it.

I've been to Fire Island a bunch of times, I would definitely suggest it over Ocean City, that's just my preference though :) I think it's much more chill better time! Rent a house for the wknd!

Look online for house rentals for the wknd or ask around on here I'm sure someone knows someone who does rentals.

Fire Island!! My fh lives out there and he said that you would have a great time. ooo and Thursday nights are Margarita Madness. YUM!!!!

I stay there every summer and threw my cousins bacholerette party there last summer we had soo much fun! I couldnt find a house in time so we stay at a hotel in Kismet which wasn't too expensive and we just took water taxis to Ocean Beach..everyone had a blast!

Fire Island is awesome but you def have to start looking and book a house NOW. Everything books up super fast. You walk to everything which is great and you are always down the block from the beach.

Mt favorite bachelorette party for one of my friends was at fire island. We stayed at the fire island hotel in ocean bay park. We stayed from Thursday to Sunday. It was a blast and actually walking distance to ocean beach. It was about 250 or 300 total per person for the hotel but we had 4 in a room

OC NJ is seedy and kind of dirty, in my opinion. Fire Island is awesome, but will run you some $$$ to get a house or hotel for a weekend.
If you dont mind a drive, head down to Ocean City MD. It's a wonderful beachy area with great nightlife and plenty of hotels!

never been to Ocean City but I Fire Island! it's pricey though and I know rentals or by the week (might be wrong).

I've vacationed at fire island tons of times. Its low key and chill, but the bars in ocean bay park and ocean beach are tons of fun. I'm actually having my bachelorette party weekend there the 9/9-9/11. We're in the process of pricing everything out, looking for the best house rental. You can find weekend rentals, but it's a little more difficult to find than weekly's. Check out craiglist's, the long island page and new york city. tons of listings on there.
You could go with a hotel too, but they tend to be just as expensive as the houses and I personally like to have our own space. You never know what you're going to get in the hotels as they're rather small, not as much privacy.

I had my bachelorette party in Fire Island. It was AMAZING good weekend!!!! We stayed at the Palms for the weekend. Here is a link to the hotel. A lot of weekends are already sold out!!
Yes!!!! We hadn't sil's bach party there at ocean beach. It was so much fun we rented a house for like 4 days. Went to the beach all day then out at night. We had a blast there is so many cool bars and restaurants. Highly recommend it!

I love fire island i like live there over the summer i'm lucky enough that my brother works at one of the restaurants in ocean beach and i have a place to sleep whenever i go. I am having my bachelorette party there Memorial Day weekend we booked a house and i can not wait!!! (My FH is jealous) What i love about FI is everything is in walking distance the night life goes all night and you can just throw a bathing suit on and continue the drinking on the beach (if your in ocean bay park) if you want, not really a day drinker myself! Im having my bachelorette party in Fire Island.... I never had a bachelorette party there lol but i lovveeee staying for the weekend....
Soo fun. Staying @ the fire island hotel, if you have a lot of friends that are supportive of spending $$ then rent a house!! They run like 3k for a weekend, and the hotel runs around 1300 for six girls
