Fire Island Suggestions..

Can you recommend your favorite spots on fire island. I'm planning to go on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend.

I really like Flynn's in Ocean Bay Park. I want to rent a house with a few couples there for his birthday. Does anyone have any ideas where I can find a house to rent for just one weekend? It will be the weekend of July 27th. Everything appears to be all shares.

can i drive to ocean beach in fire island or do you have to take the ferry?

you cant drive on fire island at all unless you are emergency or have a special all year resident permit. you need to take the ferry.

You would take the ferry from Bay Shore. You can take the LIRR to Bay Shore and I think they have buses to the ferry. Or you can take a quick cab ride from the train.

you need to take the ferry out of Bayshore - i think you can google Fire Island Ferried and it will come -

also the best place to go to walk around wioth some stores is Ocean Beach. -This is where all the familys go.

if you want to go and just have a nice lunch or if you are single and what to hang out at night, then try Ocean Bay Park.

In Ocean Bay Park there is the Fire Island Hotel

in Ocean Beach Try Housers hotel.
