Hi this is my first post, this is the future husband writing.
I was wondering how many people have had a fire truck @ their wedding. I cant really convince my fiance to let me have it there. We have agreed on a Limo Bus to take everyone from the church to the reception, I really like the fire truck to be there. The fire dept is a big part of my life and a lot of guys are close friends of mine it would be nice to incorporate them into the day somehow. I need advice on how to convince the FW..
Do you guys think that this is chessy?? Anybody else have on @ their wedding??

LOL its a great idea. my FH (also a fireman) would probably be doing the same thing except he works out of state.

my grandfather had it at his second wedding and i think its great. their hall was exactly across the street so they werent having a limo but they drove over in the fire truck. he was involved with the fire department for years so it was fitting. maybe she will compromise with the truck being there for pictures only.....then you both win.

I was actually at a wedding where the fire truck picked up the bride and groom and took them to the reception - I thought it was awesome! If your fiance is not a huge fan, then I would just have it there for a few pics..

i think you shoudl go for it, explain to her how important this is to you i mean its your wedding too i can't believe how easy it is for some girls to say its all about them...lol i actually had someone tell me dont even list to your fiance its your day, well without him and whats important to him i wouldnt be having a day in the first place lol....i think its important to have as many things big or small that are important to you both as individuals and as a couple because thats what its all about!

my bil is a volunteer fire fighter and my sister had 2 trucks at her church for pics. they had the trucks spray water at eachother so the water met in the middle and crashed together. it was beautiful and symbolic. they and the BP walked out of the church and the firefighters were in uniform and they were in 2 lines with their axes out and we walked under their axes (i can't explain this the right way, but i hope you get what i mean). its was nice! not all of her pics had a firetruck in them obviously, but some did and they are beautiful!

FH is a vol fireman and we are having a fire truck at the church for some pics...I dont think its cheesy at all and it makes for some nice pics.
Mine too- its so important to FH that I would never say no!! Besides-- it is kinda cool
