? Fireworks in Huntington/Northport Area

Does anyone know if any of the beaches are open late, or if anyone is doing a fireworks display??

Ashroken always puts on a great fireworks display, but beware--they close the road after...I think it's 5 or 6pm and the only way you can pass through is if you have a specific address and name for a house on the strip.

If you go to Crab Meadow, you can see the Ashroken fireworks as well as Makamar's.

FYI - you may want to check prior to going to see the fireworks in Asharoken. I was told that it was cancelled this year due to nesting birds on the beach they normally set them off at. Not sure if it's true but it's worth looking into! I hope it's not - I go there every year!

Centerport Golf Club does a great show and you can park on the street and watch it!

I saw on Channel 12 news that they are cancelling fireworks there because of some rare birs, something Plovers??
