Re: fireworks show
I don't know anyone that has done it, but I have seen it on Platinum Weddings or one of those shows. They had a 5 min firework show in Florida for $10,000 Not sure what it would cost around here.

Re: fireworks show
I am getting married in Westchester and they require sooooooo many permits and someone from the fire dept has to be there but our reception is overlooking the LI sound so we thought it would be really cool and different . I contacted a smaller fireworks company and w/o the permits a 2 minute show would be about 3000-4500- not toooo terrible then I contacted Grucci (Macys fireworks family) and they quoted me 10,000 (minimum) with all the permits for 1.5 minutes...but that was out of our price range. We decided against it b/c it just was not in the budget but I think its really awesome if you can do it!

yeah it can be a pain. i know of one place in particular in Brooklyn -- Steiner Stage 6 -- which is owned by Abigail Kirsch (?sp) that they offer a fireworks show as an extra for events---but i know they are right by the water and that might make a difference. but otherwise its a pain in the butt to get pemits---and i know it can be a good 4-10K add'l.
