Re: First Cousins..
I definitely would but I'm biased to inviting children. I have many first cousins and no matter what age they are, they are invited.

I don't want little children at the wedding unless they are in the bridal party..What would be a cutoff age..

Re: First Cousins..
I'm having NO children at my reception.. the flowergirls/ring bearers will be the only ones there but the Nanny will bring them back to the hotel once they have been introduced..

Re: First Cousins..
I am inviting all 30 of them with their sig. others. I do have 2 that are under 14 and I wasn't going to invite them but now I am. I figure it's only 2 more.

Re: First Cousins..
I agree. If there are a lot of young ones I wouldn't invite them. I went to a wedding a few months ago and there were about 7 kids. They took over the show. They were cute dancing around and all....but I don't want that.

Re: First Cousins..
I didn't let any children under the age of 4 come to the wedding.I went to a wedding about 2 weeks ago. In the beginning of the ceremony there was a little girl only 11 months that wouldn't stop crying. The father took her out of the ceremony and when the procession started the MOH started walking down the aisle with the baby (her daughter). All the baby did was scream through the readings and blessings. It was horrible. I couldn't imagine hearing that in my video.

Re: First Cousins..
Most of my first cousins are old enough to be invited anyway... However I have one who is 10 and she will be invited. I do have one who was born a few weeks ago... He will not be there. Good luck! At first I thought my 10 year old cousin was too young, but like my mother said, it's her brother's child and she should be there. And she was right.

Re: First Cousins..
It depends on the vibe you are going for on your wedding day. I personally do not want a lot of kids at my wedding, so there will only be three- ages 5,7,10 by the time of the wedding. If you are not totally averse to having them there, then invite them.

Re: First Cousins..
I also wanted to say that it's not that I don't want kids, but I want the parents to have a great time and not worry about little Timmy or Mary needing to be put to bed, or if they are hungry, cranky, Timmy hit Mary.. that kind of crap.. you know? Instead all the kids can stay together and will go back tothe hotel together with the nanny..

I agree with you.. I love kids but I was at a wedding not to long ago and they were OUT of CONTROL......I don't want that bc I will flip out on the parents .. I don't care who they are..............
Where did you get the Nanny...
Its a GREAT idea!

Re: First Cousins..
We are in the midst of the great 'kids or no kids' debate now. My mom and his mom are freaking b/c we do not want any kids (meaning no one under 18) at the wedding. I love kids, but do not want little ones at the reception, it is going to be late and I dont want to have the parents not have a good time b/c their kids are cranky. Of course, all of my cousins think that this rule does not apply to THEIR little 'angels' so there have been many awkard phone calls where we have to explain 'no kids at the wedding, yes this includes your child as well'. Ugh, its horrible.

Re: First Cousins..
I did not want kids at all, but once again my FMIL took charge. I am probably going to have them only for the ceremony and cocktail hour. I still have not made my final decision.Welcome New Vendors
