What are people using as their first dance song. My FH and I picked one that we love but it is sort of a fast tempo and I'm worried we will look weird. Anyone else using anything sort of fast?

My FH and I are dancing to Everlasting love by Natalie Cole which is an upbeat song. We figured it's more 'us'. Plus we figure it will set a good tone for the reception. I say go for it! You'll look like you are having fun and really enjoying each other when you are dancing!

I don''''t think you should worry about looking wierd. If the song you chose means something special to you then go with it. Who cares what anyone else thinks.

We are using a song called 'Till the End' by the Pougues. It is definitely not a typical first dance song - Not easy to dance to at all due to the upbeat tempo. I'm not worried about it - I'm thinking that people will enjoy it because it is different and it really means something to us -

My Brother and his wife

Choose 'all I want is YOu' for their dance. Its slow, but very difficult to dance to. The important thing is it was very special to them. We are using 'At Last' too.

My FH and I are thinking of using 'Love of My Life' by Santana and Dave Matthews (it has a special meaning for us). It starts off kind of slow but then picks up. We're still thinking about it though.
I think if that is the song that you like then you shouldn't worry about it.

We heard it on the radio driving home one night and were both into it...we're not really the 'mushy' types, so we thought this would suit our personalities, and would set the tone for the night! Choose what's best for you, and you will look and feel comfortable...good luck!! :)
