First Dance?

First Dance?

There was a short lived show on TLC called 'Rock the Reception'...if you haven't seen it, couples had their first danced choreographed to songs like 'Give it to me baby', 'Funk Soul Brother', 'What I like about you', etc...

...Is anyone doing something like this? I have always felt like I didn't want to just do some slow dance and just sway back and forth.

I don't think so.. me and FH are kind of shy when it comes tp things like that- it's totally our of character for us but its a great idea! I watched Rock the Reception and thought they were really cute.

We are doing a slightly less typical slow song for our first dance, then the second dance we are thinking something much faster and 'us'
It really depends on the couple and what they want to do...

I'm going to stick with more traditional and keep the slow dance song...but hey if thats your personality then Let it shine girlfriend!!!!!! I would def. laugh if I saw that at a wedding!!

I don't know that FH would be in to something that far out there, but he has talked about just telling everyone we are dancing to some generic slow song and then busting out with Sing Sing Sing and some crazy choreographed swing dance.

Its only a gentle push from that to Baby Got Back...right??

i think its funny when couples do that but i think we are gonna stick the more traditional route...

fh and i have this thing.. we'll give eachother a look..and ill go 'hit it!!' and he'll bust a beat.. and i pull my pants up and do an awkward peewee herman dance .. i have a feeling we'll be doing some of that during our 1st dance cuz we're effin ghey lollll
