First Dance...?

Ok so Im wondering if any of you ladies are doing a different type of 1st dance...?

Are you just doing a regular slow dance
Maybe a Faster dance?
Or are you doing a slow into fun songs dance?
Maybe even Choreographing a dance for you and FH..?

Is anyone doing dance lessons before their wedding?

I was wondering the same thing!!

FH and I always wanted to do one of those 'surprise break out into a choreographed dance' thing. We haven't completely ruled it out, but either way I want to take some kind of instruction because I'm not a very elaborate slow dancer!

I think you can convince him!!! FH is all game for things like that. He was asking one of our friend's girlfriends who is a dancer if she could put together something for us. I doubt that will happen, but I think it's fun! Although it's more common than it used to be, most people at our wedding will get a kick out of it!!

FH and I are doing a slow dance, then breaking out into something crazy.. hes not a big dancer so my bridal party is going to come in and relieve him.. it will then be a full blown choreographed bridal party dance. I already have the songs hehehe

The original plan was to have all of the bridesmaids and all of the groomsmen.. but only 3 of the groomsmen are into it.. Im still debating doing it with the guys and having some of my guy friends/cousins do it with us to fill the voids of the tight @$$ GM's who refuse LMAO

FH and I are doing Smile but Uncle Kracker (can't get over the name tho lol) We LOVE the lyrics! my friend told me it was to fast for a 1st dance song I don't think so at all but whatever. We wanted something a little bit more upbeat then the old traditional songs

This is exactly what we are doing. We aren't going to have a choreographed dance, but I would like for us to learn the proper ways to dance together, etc. Plus I want us to perfect the art of twirling and spinning. I want to be twirled A LOT at my wedding.

We are doing an evolution dance for our first Dance too!!!!!! We love the idea of getting the party started!!!!!!!! We will be getting dance lessons, as they were given to us as a gift!!!! The dance studio we have said that we can pick the songs we want and then we can make up the dances for them in class, I am so excited!!!!

Ren that is what we want!!! I don't want it to be too expensive though!

Ideally I would love to start with a slow song and then break into a faster choreographed piece but FH will probably not be into it and after spending so much money on other things....

I wanted to also but FH is totally against it. We will start out with a semi slow song then the music will change to something faster and all the couples will join us

I wouldn't really say our song is slow but it's slow enough that you can 'slow dance' to it. Nothing coreographed, just regular HighSchool Prom dancing LOL.

And we will not be taking lessons.

We took lessons from John at LI ballroom dance and he is so great to work with. We did a choreographed first dance, but he also taught us how to do fun dances like hustle and salsa. Prices are reasonable too...fm me if u want more info.
We actually liked to so much we're still dancing! :)
