Is it silly to practice the first dance? FH isn't exactly fred astaire & I'm no ginger rogers... Would it be a good idea to practice a little???
I feel silly asking this... But I am. What's your advice? Are you going to practice?

FH & I have tried practicing but he gets all silly on me so we just laugh it off.. I guess we'll just wing it the day of & live in the moment

haha I always make him dance, he is a rocker, like he literally just rocks back and forth, trying to get him to take a few steps, maybe a turn or something ahah

Re: first dance dance
I've been wanting for us to take a couple of dance lessons at Fred Astaire. Glad to see I'm not the only one thinking ahead.

Re: first dance dance
DH and I practiced every friday night for a month before our wedding (after a fwe glasses of wine lol). We wanted to take lessons, but it wasn't in the budget for us at the time.

I'm pretty sure that this will be what we do. I was all about going for lessons, but now we may just practice at home.

Re: first dance dance
FH and I had our first dance class today haha. he is not a good dancer and has anxiety about the first dance. so we are taking lessons together. the guy is basically going to make up a dance for us to our song

oh fh and i are in the same boat! we actually considered dance lessons but recently went to a wedding where the bride and groom had dance lessons and it was so rehearsed they looked very uncomfortable while they danced so FH and i decided against it.
we have twirled around the house once or twice but really we are just going to go on the dance floor and enjoy ourselves.

same here. we also picked a fast song...and we don't dance, but since we FINALLY found a song we both agreed on we are going with it. when i voiced my concern about us dancing to a fast song he said 'so, we'll practice.'
we are both the worst dancers ever. we'll just look like a hot mess and honestly, who cares...at least it's 'us' and not some middle school sway where we'll both be uncomfortable.

Re: first dance dance
Me and FI are taking 6 lessons at Arthur Murray , so far we have been twice and its so much fun. He wasnt into the idea at all but he actually likes it now, Im so glad we are doing it! We arent having them choreograph a dance , just learning basic dances so we are comfortable the day of.
