First Dance Songs

we used 'Crazy Love' by Van Morrison - we loved it and it was perfect for us

and for some reason my mom and best friend cried while we danced to this (and it was actually our 2nd dance - but our song)

The song came out the week that we met in 2005, so it was all over the radio on my drive back and forth to Brooklyn to see FH. The lyrics were perfect for us.

These are all so helpful! We haven't picked a song yet. I really want a country song (what can I say- I love my country music) but he's not the biggest fan so we're trying to find something we both like.
I think what I'm gonna do is make a cd with all the songs I love and make him listen to them.

So fh suggested stand by me by ben e king cuz i had much more meaning...


So thats what we're going with

Groovy Kind of Love/Phil Collins, i know i know not so original, but its meaningful to us....

It took us a long time to pick, but finally DH chose the song and I just melted.

I LOVE IT!!!

I absolutely love Beautiful in My Eyes!!! If my brother and sister in law didn't already have that I would have it in a heartbeat.....I get so choked up when I hear the last verse now, though....we lost 3 grandparents this year and it just reminds me of them so much.

My FH grandparents were married for 72 years before his grandfather passed! my grandparents were married 63 years before my grandmother passed, so it is completely them!!!

Anyway, beautiful choice....we are going to use it in our anniversary dance!
