First Dance & Train Question....

OK girls, I have a detachable train, do I take this off before or after the first dance??? I happen to be a very clumsy person & I picture myself stepping on it while dancing & either ripping it or falling, but I'll wear it if it's the proper thing to do.

Re: First Dance & Train Question....

your maitre 'd should drape it over your arm so you don't trip.

I have a detachable also and plan on taking mine off after my first dance...

Re: First Dance & Train Question....

I don't have a detachable but if I did I would take it off before the first dance. Holding a train and dancing is going to be really difficult.

Re: First Dance & Train Question....

I would take it off. I didnt have a detachable, but I made sure that my train was bustled before we came into the hall as husband/wife.

Re: First Dance & Train Question....

My train isn't detachable, but I still haven't decided whether to bustel it before or after the first dance, but I am leaning toward before because I want to join my cocktail hour and I think the train will be too annoying.

Re: First Dance & Train Question....

I'm bustling but making my decision after I have my dress, and try to move around it it, my material is Chiffon, so I don't think it should be too bad if I do it after my first dance.

Re: First Dance & Train Question....

I had a detachable train on my gown and after the pictures, before the cocktail hour, I took it off. It was the greatest feeling when I took it off. The dress felt so light.

Re: First Dance & Train Question....

ask your seamstress if you can get a hand bustle. that might make dancing with the train on easier, and then you can detach if you want after.
