My older sister fainted at her first fitting way back when, so I'm sitting at my desk chugging water right now. I swear I am SO nervous for this! I'm so scared I'll hate my dress or that I won't like the way it looks on me.

Umm I was nervous - since it had been so long since I saw my dress. I was afraid I wasnt going to like it or even know that it was mine.
Just go in there - put that dress on and breath!!!!!!! You said yes for a reason and you will fall in love all over again.

i havent had a fitting yet but my advice is to take pics from every angle that way when you get home or even the next day when your less in the moment of 'oh my god this is MY DRESS!!' you can really see what needs to be altered and how.

Haha yea, crazy right? I'm a legit fainter (I faint pretty regularly, last time was about 2 weeks ago at the doctors office), so it's a big concern for me.
How long was your first fitting?

haha...not that fainting is funny but they way you said it makes me laugh! I'm sure you will love it just as much if not more than the first time you tried it! I know that I bought my dress in March and then I went back the time I bumped into you and I actually loved my dress even more when I tried it on the second time. You picked that dress for a reason. Embrace your choice and love every minute of it. Go there with positive thinking O and drink water and eat a piece of candy or something before just in case.
You're gonna look fab!!!!

WOW I don't think I have ever fainted - I don't know what that is like!
I think my first fitting took about an hour. And like another bride said, take TONS of picutres - pre and post bustle fitting.
Also - SPEAK UP, if you don't like something - how it fits or looks, just ask!!

Wow!! This is so exciting. Just take it easy and enjoy the moment. I agree with taking pics from different angles so u can see what it looks like.

i didn't eat anything crazy salty or really heavy so i would feel better and at my best for when i tried on my dress again.

I was shaking like a leaf at my first fitting - it took me 15 minutes to just put on my wedding shoes.
Advice: Just be honest with the seamstress. They are there to make your dress exactly the way you envision it. I waited till my last fitting to have the back taken in - and I should have done it sooner because it came out beautiful and I would have avoided the dress nightmares I was having leading up to my wedding.

My first fitting was not very long, since they just had to do bustle, length, and take the straps in a tad
You will be ok!
Drink a lot, and have a snack before you go!

Hey! Thanks for asking! It went well! I actually had my first fitting next to Melissa (TheFutureMrs2011) so that was kind of fun. Dress needs a lot of alterations. I should have ordered a size smaller than I did, but whatever. The only thing I'm a tad bit worried about is lazaro gowns have like a built in bustier and I swear it's making like a line on my stomach (I guess because the boning just like stops mid-stomach). They said they will try to put in longer boning to make it go away. Apparently this is a complaint that they get very often with lazaro gowns.
I honestly feel that the dress is made for me, so I'm excited to go back for my 2nd fitting and try it on when it will actually fit!!

OMG my first fitting was 2.5 hours long!! All the damn layers of tulle! I felt so bad for the seamstress!
