i had a huge surprise last night - FH and I went to Menlo mall and my mom (who lives in Florida) flew up to NY and surprised me by being there! and i had a surprise first fitting appointment! my mom FINALLY got to see me in my dress! here are some pictures!

oh it was so nice that my mom was there - and FMIL came too - im glad they were there to help me boss around the seamstress i have to say that the seamstress was really nice and she made me look like i have boobs which i was very happy about!
the way the dress is, with all the gathering, after its bustled, once i walk around or lift it up it changes the way the bustle lays in the back - the seamstress said because of the gathering if im moving/dancing its not going to stay perfect - you can see in the picture of the back how one side is higher than the other, its because i was walking around and lifting it which changed the way the it was laying b/c when she pinned it up it was symmetrical but then after moving around it changed its shape a little - but i guess that might be normal with a gathered/pick up dress at least that is what the woman told me....

yes! i got the melissa sweet mari dress - only 2 people know, my FH and my best friend, and of course LIWers
i still can't believe i had a dress fitting last night! it felt surreal wearing it, i still didnt feel like a bride there must be something wrong with me hahaha
