First florist meeting-Milleridge florist

We had our first meeting with a florist yesterday, the Milleridge florist. We met with Chris, he was very nice, helpful and informative. And he gave us a HUGE bouqet to take home. Jen filled 5 or 6 vases with flowers. But oh my, there are so many choices. We kind of narrowed down what we want for centerpieces and Jens bouquet, but still have to meet with other florists. We are going to go with a fall color type of arrangement maybe in bubble vases. We are meeting with someone else tonite. Does anyone have any opinions on the flowers at Milleridge Cottage or that florist?

Hey there.....We met with the Milleridge florist as welll and thought that Chris was great....We are definantly using the milleridge as the florist...but wished that he had given a few more suggestions rather than leaving it to what I wanted ....because I still dont know what I want. I have the contract, and will send it back..but will be making changes to it..because I dont know definitively what it is I want. I think that perhaps some of the other florsts may be able to creatively give you more options..if that makes since. I just ran out of time to take off to meet with florists. Good luck... Tell jen hi :)

Amy I hear you on not knowing what you want. Everytime I turned the page in on of the books I liked the flowers better than on the page before. If you haven't decided on exactly what you are getting I feel like I have a lot of time! Chris was really patient we had him there till after 10:00. I was then up till after midnight playing florist with all the flowers he gave me! There are vases full all over the place. I need to go through some more books and narrow down to a few pictures that I like. Any fall brides have pics of what you are using please post them!

Hi! I'm using Milleridge too(I'm getting married @ the cottage)I met with Sheryl, she was somewhat creative-but I knew what I wanted. I bought her about 15 pics & told what I liked about eack one & she made it! My ideas are unusual but I like them, this pic makes it look very green, it actually looked much better in person! If you have any other questions let me know! BTW, I think I got the best deal on my flowers!

Mind if I ask what you are paying for Centerpieces and bouquets?

One thing I loved about the milleridge florist is our centerpieces looked exactly like they were supposed to -- there were no surprises the day of-- except of course they surprised me with floating hydrangeas for the atrium that I LOVED beyond belief--and so glad i actually had a glimpse of them or I never would have known they were there--
If you go with Chris and Sheryl you will not be disappointed--

I used the dozen roses that they give you as part of your package with the cottage, then I'm paying $45 for each cp. My MOH grew up in the floral business & worked in the city for a celebrity designer, I took her w/ me to see the sample & she was impressed w/ the price & quailty. Look online for pics of this you like & bring them there. Good Luck

Ok, so perhaps I can get some feedback. My BM dresses are pale yellow...and I have originally decided on pink, lavender, yellow, white, white flowers and roses for the centerpieces. But now, think that it may be more elegant to go with the dozen roses with a pretty filler? Opinions? And as far as the roses would go....yellow (may contrast with the dresses too much) or white ...may be more elegant...these little details!!!!!
