First Immigration Snafu!

Just looked at all immigration info and noticed that we have to present a CIVIL marriage certificate to embassy.

We were hoping to go to embassy on Monday after our wedding to get my visa stuff done, so that we could be on our way to the UK on Wednesday. I called the county clerk and they said that the certificate is mailed to our home after the deacon who marries us sends into the clerk's office. She said it's usually sent out within three working days after they receive it. We can pick it up from them, but the Deacon needs to mail it. We can't do it our selves. Yeesh! FH says not to worry. Maybe we can go skiing for a couple of days post wedding, but I'm worried.

Maybe we should get married at town hall a couple of days before the wedding?

Why would you need to present a marriage certificate? Why can't you just show plane tickets ar someting like that. I need a visa for Europe also and they said all I had to do was bring the itinerary of the ship
