Hi everyone! My FH and I are getting married at the Swan Club this August, and the banquet manager suggested that we take our pictures before the ceremony. I love the idea of having that 'walk down the aisle' first moment where we see each other for the first time, but I also don't want to miss the cocktail hour while we take all of our pictures.
What's your advice? If anyone did a 'first look' before your ceremony, are you glad you decided to see each other first, and why? If you took all of your pictures after the ceremony, did things feel rushed?
Thanks! :)

You all are awesome! Thanks so much for all of the thoughts and feedback! It's great to hear that so many brides did/are doing the first look- I had never even heard of it until we booked with the Swan Club. It does sound like a great way to have a private moment with your guy beforehand! This is really helpful and I just spent the last 10 minutes reading these posts to my FH. :)

We're on the fence. We're getting married at 6:30 and are afraid of losing daylight for our pics. I Ike the idea of a reveal...a special moment with just us
I am struggling with same issue. After reading this post though I think we are going to do a first look. We want to enjoy the cocktail hour also. To me its a better way to utilize our time. We have our photographer for 8 hrs. We are having our ceremony and reception at same place.
