FH and I are going to do a reveal prior to the ceremony which is at our RH. I am not certain if we will actually attend the CH but I know for sure I do not want my bridal party to miss out on it. At my MOH's wedding she wouldn't let us go to CH and one of the other BMs is a vegetarian and she was limited on the options, this same BM is in my bridal party and I remember how pissed she was that she couldn't eat when there was a variety of food that she could eat out in the CH room. I definitely think I will make at least a small appearance though so that I can see the martini bar, I want at least one picture in front of it

Sounds like you're in the manor room? I LOVE the conservatory - it's my rain option for CH. I have the garden room and library for reception and I also LOVE all the rooms! I love that you can escape into the library and they are putting cordials in there at the end
Nope, we are actually in the Garden Room. When we first went to look at WM, Heather only showed us the Garden Room, Library, and Conservatory. I think there may have been some kind of function going on in the other rooms. She kind of sold it to us as being able to have the whole wing of the manor open to our guests. There was also some confusion as to the year of our wedding when we toured, so I am not sure if that is why she offered this or if it was bc we are having a winter wedding?? Anyway, when we went to reserve a date with her over the phone we were originally looking at March 2013, but for all of those dates the Library and Conservatory wouldn't have been available for the CH since it was being used for events going on in the Manor Room.
This was sort of a deal breaker for my FH, so she ended up finding a date in February where we could have the rooms that we wanted and it worked out great!
It may be annoying that WM has multiple events at the same time, which causes timing and location issues - but the staff is so accommodating that they make up for this in any way they can.
Ohh this makes sense! Yea I love having the library as well and I'm happy with the rain options. I can't even imagine how they coordinate it all. Also in the garden room we have the terrace!
It's true about the bridesmaids also! When I was a BM I was super happy to be able to get some food at cocktail hour.

FH and I will be seeing each other before the wedding. I was really against it at 1st, but it makes the most sense. Our ceremony will take place at our RH so we have no gap in btwn that and CH. Our wedding is in the evening, in Oct @ 7pm. The sun will have set already and if we waited to take them during CH we'd get no sun light so that was just out of the question. There is no way I will be no taking pix during the day. Plus, we really want to attend CH, at least part of it. We're paying for it! I want to try the food plus it will give us time to greet everyone. I don't want to take a ton of time doing this during the reception because I want to party! lol.. I also wouldn't have wanted to rush trying to take a bunch of pix within and hour. That just isn't enough time and I don't want to rush. It makes me crazy! lol.. Plus, I want TONS of pix! It will be the only visual memories we'll have for the rest of our lives (beside the video) so I want to make sure we take tons of pix.

but I want that moment of my entrance being the first time whoever wasnt at the church to see ne! I will say hello quickly to everyone and Dance all night! I am also going to see if i can get an extra time somehow!
Omg I can't believe you're gonna miss it! That was one of my favorite parts of SC lol the martini show and terrace cocktail area. I used to think I didn't want to be at cocktail hour but I think I rather get the hellos over with during that hour, eat some pasta drink my signature martini and get ready to party!

I suppose its all based on your own preference. FH and I are going to get most of our hello's done during CH so that we can enjoy the reception I've seen it done like this at weddings and there was nothing weird about the bride and groom leaving CH 15 min early to get ready for the entrance.
