First Song.....

Hello girls

I am new here and have a question...I am getting married at Russo's On The Bay, they have this stair thing that we will be coming down from when we first come into the room. I actually have never been to a wedding there but saw video. I thought it was cheesey but my FH wants to do it. Anyway, I do not know what song to come down the stairs to. I guess it's the same choice I would have to make for the song you would walk into the room with. I can't find anything suitable. Just to get an idea of what type of music I like, I listen to KTU alot. I need some suggestions...HELP

Oh and by the way, I found someone that got engaged on the same day as I did and she is having her wedding on the same day (FUTUREMRS). How odd right????

My sister got married there but that was 10 years ago.

I always see the guys out there keeping up with the landscaping. I hear that they just renovated :)

I am not good with music I still havent figured out what I want lol so I am no help in that department
we picked leonards because a/ I liked the look b/ not really that far from brooklyn c/good food d/ not too expensive... they have been getting great reviews since the renovation
how far along in your planning are you?

My fiance lives in Brooklyn, I'm in Queens (hence QueensBride,lol). I have booked the hall, church, videographer, looking at photographers and flowers for now. I am going to wait to look for dresses for me, I just started a well needed diet. I will be looking at florists next and then favors, invites, etc.

where in brooklyn does he live? we live in williamsburg... so far we have the church, reception, flowers (John from Flower Michele is amazing), photo/video (Duet)... next thing on the list are limos and make up, I dont know about the hair because I want to grow them out before the wedding... oh I will probably start looking for the dress soon as well...
how did you end up picking russo's?

My fiance lives in Mill Basin, but funny he owns alot of real estate (apt buildings) in Willaimsburg. Small world!!!

I live 5 minutes from Russo's and his sister got married there, and I always here such nice things about it. I didn't even want to go look at it because I wanted 'my own place' to get married but I fell in love. Hey it's close to me, no one has to worry about me being late, LOL.

Also I love swing music and one of my faves is Sing, sing sing by Goodman. It really gets people going.

I am having a DJ because I want it to be more party like. It's also an afternoon wedding so I need something that's gonna get everybody a little excited. I am sooooooo scared of having a duddy party :(
