First Sonogram?

Hi Moms,

Can anyone please tell me when one should go for their first sonogram where the dr. can actually hear a heartbeat??

I'm going for mine Nov 16 and I'll be 13 weeks then.

It depends on your doctor. Some have machines that can hear the heartbeat at 7-8 weeks others just have a sono without the HB. I heard mine at home at 10 weeks and at the doc with both babies at 12 wks
