Here's what happened:

As of now, my church is at 3 and my CH starts at 5 - I thought this was enough time....However, I went to a wedding at my church this weekend that began at 3 and did not end till 5. I called the church to bump it up an hour to 2 - but they are booked at that time. So I called my parents to tell them that we are gonig to have to change the time of the CH and move it back to 6-ish - they don't want to because they feel that it will be too late for a Sunday wedding (as of now my CH/Rh is from 5-11:30). They suggested we look for another church which I don't want to do because i have wanted to get married at this chuch since i was a little girl....So, all of a sudden I found myself turning into one of those whining screaming girls who's carrying on and on about her wedding and how nothing is going right and how everything needs to be my way and.....So I stopped myself and got off the phone. Once I calm down, I'm sure this will all be resolved - but I really scared myself with my Bridezilla moment.

WOW St C lasted for 2 hours. Maybe not the ceremony but the kissing cheek to cheek can take forever . Do not change the church, its a beautiful one and I wish I can get married there. Just have your RH move the CH to 6. My CH starts at 6 as well, it should be fine, dont worry

Yeah - I can't believe it took 2 hours either!!! But then again, there were sooooo many people to kiss-kiss on both cheeks. Maybe if we cut out the Greek kissing on both cheeks and only kiss on one cheek......Who knows! We defiitely have to change the time of the RH. I have to give them a call tomorrow. I'm definitely not changing the church - All I kept thinking this weekend as I was in St Catherine's was 'In exactly 11 months, we'll be standing up there....' and I was getting all misty eyes just thinknig about it! I am such a sap!

thankfully, my chuch is not that far, and JT offers wine and cheese if guests get there early, which is good. It's mostly family anyway, so I have a feeling people will stick around the church after the ceremony and want to take pics with us. This is why we are cutting the line - we are having about 100 ppl - this include BP and is mostly just close family and friends - so we think we will have time to greet everyone between the cocktail hour and the reception (i hope!). But if you want to keep the line, then definitley dont cut it! If that's important to you I say keep it.

so there is another bride before you at 2pm? are they having a full mass? if they are, then they HAVE to keep it to 1hr for you to start on time. which means if you are also having a full mass, yours should be about an hr too, which works out ok. check with the church, and see what time they are scheduled to end. and how are they handling clean-up and set-up between the ceremonies.

good luck! it will all work out, just needs some creative planning and sticking to the timeline.
