FIRST WEDDING NIGHTMARE.
I know people have posted about this before, and I sort of never took it seriously, but last night, I woke up sweating and in a massive panic. I have to say, it was wierd.
Let me preface this with the fact that I've been a really lazy bride-to-be- probably the absolute opposite of a bridezilla. I have pretty much blown everything off for months, and with just over three months to go, I cannot even tell you the massive amount of stuff I have left to do. I DON'T EVEN HAVE A DRESS YET. I'm going tonight to the dressmaker, and we're STARTING on it. I know.
Anyway, so in the dream, I'm doing my own hair and makeup. Maybe because I haven't found anyone yet. Then I'm running all over trying to find a curliing iron, and I'm sweating, and nothing is working out. I can't find anything. I know I'm forgetting a lot, but it gets worse. Then I go to put my dress on, and there are two nickel-sized holes under the boob. THEN there is soda on the floor, and I get it all over the bottom of my dress. But the dress is going to be bubble bottom, and the bubble sops up all the soda, and now it is all over the bottom of the dress. Literally UP AND IN the dress. My mom tries to get it out, but it doesn't come out. So now the dress is stained brown-yellow, and it's massively heavy because the bottom is filled with soda.
THEN cut to FH and me napping in some room, in our clothes. I wake up, and suddently realize we have missed the entire cocktail hour, and that feeling in the pit of my stomach- I have planned this for months and just slept through it! I got up and started running to the reception which had already started, and now my dress is a disaster- totally wrinkled and still soaking wet with soda.
Then I woke up.
My god, it was horrible. So today, I really need to get some of this stuff done.
PLEASE advise about makeup and hair. MI A is not available for my day. I thought I had a hair person, but she hasn't returned my calls for 3 weeks, and I'm finally over it. Please let me know if you have any advice in this area.
I feel so totally bonded with you ladies- the first thing I thought of this morning was posting this on LIW. Please just tell me I'm going to get everything done and on my wedding day I won't drown in soda and sleep through it. Thank you.
