FI's gift is hiding under the dishwasher and I can't get her out!!! HELP!!!!

Ok ladies - I picked up the kitten this morning, took her to the vet - all is good. We come home, I open her carrier and nothing for 2 hours. That's okay I know she's skittish. All of a sudden she takes off like a shot and hides under my dishwasher!!!! How the heck do I get her out???? Don't want FI to come home from work and say 'Hi Hon, your V-day is hiding under the dishwasher - lean over and say hello!!!!

my cat ran under the coach when we took her home...she came out in about 2 hours...

wish I had better advice...but I think tuna or cat treats are the best

This is driving me nuts - tried everything!! Kitty is quite content with hanging out under the dishwasher!! Maybe I'll just leave her be until FI gets home - eventually she'll be hungry and have to use her litter box!

She's still under there!!! I'm wondering if she's having a reaction to the vaccination?? She seems content down there - I tried food, toys - she ain't movin'!!

Acccck!!! Kitty has gone further back - now she's behind the cabinets (just discovered in the condo that there's a space between where the cabinets end and the wall is. No clue why!!!!)

I've accepted that Bob and I are going to be spending our V-day getting this thing out

Sorry I cant help but laugh. It was such a sweet present. I have two cats and I love them Every one came up woth good ideas that i really dont have any. Sorry. Good luck and keep us posted.

Well at least you wont forget it.. are you sure there is nothing back there that can harm her? can you take the sishwasher out and get her out?

Almost got her - went into the kitchen and she was going to use the litterbox - but she's quick!!! I'm hoping she'll come out again soon!!

Awwww...what a sweet gift!

When we brought our 'baby' home from NSAL, he ran out of the carrier, peed on the couch then hid under the bed for hours. He finally came out when we went to bed...and cried all night!

The next day he realized that he's king of the castle, and we haven't had a problem since...

She'll come out when she comfortable, don't worry. Maybe put the litterbox close to the dishwasher?

Ok ladies - good news to report!!! She's out from under the dishwasher and she keeps making steps towards us. Still super-skittish if we go near her, but for the last hour or so, when she runs and hides, she only goes under the kitchen table. Woo-hoo!!

FI is super-excited about his gift. Hoping by tomorrow we can actually PLAY with her!!

Yes she was!!! She started to come about an hour later. She hasn't gone underneath there once today, but she's still really nervous and skittish. We were able to pet her a few times, but then she high-tails it up the stairs where is has been napping on and off all day!!

Can't even tell you guys the names FI came up with!! First there was Nermel (apparently this is Garfield's friend's name - I had never heard of it!). Now FI is stuck on Bat Girl or BG (meanwhile we keep slipping and calling her BJ )
