Fishnets...

I saw this woman on the bus this morning in fishnets and a denim skirt...

so my question: Fishnets? Sometimes sexy or always trashy?

i think they are great!

for halloween...

I always thought they were skanktastic but my sister has a pair in brown that she wore with brown leather knee high boots and chocolate-colored suede skirt and she looked awesome. I think what made it work is that the skirt wasn't too short ( 2 inches above the knee?) and the boots were sophisticated.

With stilletos and a push-up bra? skanky.

Nothing was as bad as the Motley Crue concert last night. it was disgusting. Girls were wearing bras with just a net shirt over it and then a very short deni skirt, stilettos and a cowboy hat.

I do think that with the right clothing they can look okay, sexy even - however, there's nothing right about a denim skirt on a London bus on a summer morning and the black shell choker a la Janet Jackson, not at 9am!

That's exactly how I've worn them - the mini fishnets though, in brown. They're more like a patterned pantyhose than anything really.

I have fishnet socks which are really cute and people always compliment them, but I suppose that's completely different since I only wear them with pants.

In certain situations I would say sexy, but seeing them on a public bus IN THE MORNING nonetheless has trashy written all over it.

i have a nude pair-in the winter i wore them to work with black heels, a black knee length pleated skirt from banana and a black turtleneck.
i think they can be classy if paired with the correct clothes.

i have seen ladies wear the nude ones with a long skirt and a nice pair of pointy tight boots. it looked very nice. just showing at the knees.
