Fit to size-hollow to hem

Has anyone done this or is getting this done? Was wondering how reliable it was...I am looking into Allure bridal...There is this beautiful dress, and I heard this designer does it, where it would be perfect to my height since I am short...So, they told me it would take 8 months...But that it is reliable???

Fit to size-hollow to hem

I'm a shortie and had this done! I needed it and I tried on my dress (not a fitting) when it came in last week and it looks awesome!! I ordered my dress in August and they told me April, it came in within the first week of April so about 8 months? I'm happy with the outcome and can't wait for my first fitting!

Fit to size-hollow to hem

It means some designers actually make the same exact dress you tried on, but it is proportionate for us tiny ladies...So we don't lose any of the appeal we loved in the original dress...But it comes at a little extra cost and we have to wait till 8 months about because it is a completely new dress they make custom for you and your size...The people at the store measure you from the hollow of your neck all the way to your feet I believe :) But Antonella, that is def good news!!! :)

Fit to size-hollow to hem

I had a hollow to hem dress bc the bottom of my dress was scalloped lace. You need to have your shoes before they order the dress. I got my James Clifford at Bridal Reflectons in Massapequa. I ordered it in February and it was in by July (originally told November)

Fit to size-hollow to hem

My dress was done hollow to hem as well for the same reasons as Kristin31613. My dress is by Casablanca. My salon orders everything so it comes in about 2 months before the wedding though so they dont have storage issues. The designer is the one who acutally makes the dress and does the 'alterations' to make it the right length so I wouldnt be too concerned.

Fit to size-hollow to hem

I bought a Lazarro dress and since im 4ft 11 they did Hallow to Hem. I told them to add 3 or 4 inches on to the dress so I could wear nice shoes and they could always hem it after I get my shoes. My dress didnt come in yett ( ordered it in October). I heard this is a good thing for us shorties bc the dress will fit us better! HTH

I did this too with a James Clifford at BR in Massapequa!!!! I am short and I needed it done because the mermaid look didn't work with me because of my height! All things went well and it made the proportions more 'to scale' on my body.
