Fitness Check-in 10/4

happy thursday girls!

so i had that wake last night and didn't make it to the gym, but im gonna try to go tonight...need to make sure i get activity in because all ive done this week is one spin class and walking the dog daily...

planning to do some treadmill work tonight...if im super exhausted maybe the elliptical, but i want to try and push myself...

what's everyone else's steam powered workout versus their lazy day workuouts?

Fitness Check-in 10/4

Ok I havent posted on this yet but I will today! =)

My steam powered workout is during my personal training sessions and when my trainer leads intense interval classes at my gym. He is NO JOKE. He picks on me all the time telling me I can do better and be faster than the other people in the class (part of our love/hate relationship!) Even though I feel like I am going to puke when I leave and I am so sore for 3 days after, its been great because its a total body workout.

I posted about workout motivations last week. He is such a great motivation!!! I schedule my sessions (so that I HAVE to go) and he expects me to be at the classes so thats another motivation.

My lazy day workout which will prob be only once a week will be just doing cardio like the treadmill.

Fitness Check-in 10/4

Not working out today! Thursday is usually a rest day for me. FH and I actually started the seven hour drive from rochester to LI, so we'll be getting dinner on the go tonight. Not a great day for the diet... But that's life!

When I'm feeling really good I do a 45 minute run and then 45 minutes of toning. Sometimes I'll do 2 classes instead of one (total body conditioning and Zumba.)

My lazy workout is a half an hour on the treadmill or elliptical and 2 different toning exercises. It doesn't matter what. I just make deals with myself to get myself there.

Re: Fitness Check-in 10/4

lisa- you can def still get good food on the go...subway is good especially if you avoid dressing and cheese...fill up on veggies...even add a chicken soup! or panera bread salads are great, just get the dressing on the side and opt for an apple instead of bread...good luck with your choices and have a safe trip!!

Fitness Check-in 10/4

I finally made it back to the gym today! I did 30 minutes on the treadmill and then a 45 minute workout on the Nike Training app on my iphone. It's a great app, it has a ton of 30 and 45 minute workouts. I like it because it tells me exactly what to do (lunges, plank, squats etc. etc.). When left to my own devices at the gym I end up doing one or two exercises and then proclaiming myself done. This keeps me in line. I definitely recommend it! Now I'm hoping to finish my day with a healthy salad and some relaxation! I finally put together a good gym day and a good eating day in one! Lets hope for more of the same tomorrow!!!

Fitness Check-in 10/4

ok i am so guilty of being a carbahoic too! thats why i need to just eliminate it all together and have a cheat day on sundays ( after losing 10 pounds i will allow myself this)
meals for example-
breakfast: chobani greek yogurt regular flavor with a handful of my own bluberries crushed in
snack: apple
lunch: left over baked chicken with broccolli ( i baked chicken breast seasoned it and squeezed fresh lemons and garlic into it and baked with the broccoli) SO DELISH
dinner- grilled chicken (on the foreman grill) with fat free cheddar cheese melted on top
dessert- greek yogurt

note : i love cheese- the fat free cheese are DISGUSTING COLD ..melted not so bad but seriously this stuff is like plastic eating it cold...

hope that helps!
