How far in advance of your wedding was/is your final fitting? How far after your fitting did you pick up your dress? Finally, did you try on your dress at your final pick up??

Final fitting was about 2.5 weeks before the wedding. I picked up the dress a week before.

my final fitting is 2 weeks before the wedding. My final pick-up is 2 days before and I plan to try it on to make sure it fits perfectly and is pressed properly.

How many fittings did you need?
I don't need much work on my dress, so my 2nd fitting is scheduled for 2 weeks before my wedding. I don't really think I am going to need a 3rd major fitting...maybe just a few tweeks...so I am wondering if my 2nd fitting is too late? I plan on picking up my dress a couple of days before the wedding.

I think you fine -- a lot of people pick their dresses up about 2 days before the wedding.
My Third fitting was 5 min. I put the dress on to make sure the changes were OK and then my MOH learned the bustle.

final fitting: A week before pick up: day before

Mine is scheduled for 9/16. Bearing any major changes, I am supposed to take it home that day. I wish I could pick it up a week later, but oh well....
