For anyone else thinking they'll go off BC before the wedding... rethink it. I'm in month 2 of being off and let me tell you, if you were a former cramp sufferer.... they just come back with a vengeance. It's like they're mad at me for being on BC all that time to 'calm them down'. Now they're awake and being worse than ever.

When I went off the Depo shot many years ago, the first couple of periods after were TERRIBLE. I have a high tolerance for pain and never was the girl who missed out on things due to cramps until those two cycles. Then it all let up and went back to normal.
Feel better. Those disposable heating pads worked wonders for me.

I have been wondering about this! My friend from work recommended that I stay on until after the wedding. I am actually due to get mine for the wedding... but, I will get it on Wednesday and I usually only get it for one day! I know that will change when I come off BC

Skip the sugar pills this month! I did it before the wedding, its fine and you completely avoid everything!

That happened to me once when my RX lapsed and I had to go a month without BC. It was like my ovaries had been saving up all the cramps all those years!
I find that 3 Aleve help. Maybe one of those heating patches? Feel better!

I've been off BC for 6 years... and my cramps have been bad since I first got my period... the BC never helped me with cramps.. just to 'regulate my flow'... which it did, during and after.
as for cramps... do a shot of blackberry brandy and try midol extended relief (pink box, blue pill).. thats the only thing that works for me.

ugh! I have been off the pill for 5 years because of health issues and my cramps are SO BAD - I feel your pain!!!

well i wasn't on the pill. i used nuva ring... and a few of you had mentioned this before and i wasn't ignoring you guys... it was just a matter of dealing with it or.... dealing with it. LOL.
had to go off bc sooner or later!!
not complaining ... just... saying. and spreading the warning LOL

Damn...I have killer cramps and I'm ON the pill...today it was hurting so badly my lower BACK was killing me!

Ugh, I totally know what you mean! I went off my BC a little over a month ago because I get really bad migraines and I've never really gotten cramps before even before I was on BC and this past month was so bad!! I hope it's not like this all the time!
