Flat feet and shoes

Flat feet and shoes

I have flat feet (so the doctor says) with a high instep. (If that makes any sense?!) I cannot wear high heels, and was wondering if any bride or bride to be has the same problem picking out wedding shoes? Any guidance?
TIA!

I have the same problem too but im also a clutz so I never wear more then an inch or so. I personally find a kitten heel or heel with a little thickness to be more comfortable. I havent started looking for shoes but that will be my bigest problem, Unless your wearing a knee lenth dress no one is really going to see your shoes so wear whats comfy for you.

I'm a medical assistant in a podiatry office so I know exactly what your talking about. Between you and me, the doctor is telling you not to wear high heels because they have no support and if you wear them everyday you are going to make your feet worse, however, one day is not going to make a difference. I say, it's your wedding wear the heels!! But I would try to stay clear of them on an everyday basis. HTH

Re: Flat feet and shoes *EDIT for spelling*

I have flat feet as well and very unstable ankles, but I found these shoes at DSW and they are SOOO comfortable to walk in!!! The heel is 2.5 inches- so it could go either way for other people- that's about the max height heel I can function in, and most of the kitten heels I was finding were like slip-on/sandals...and I didn't want to clip-clop down the aisle with them!
