Ok, mind me if this is a stupid question, but….Is it possible to curl or put a wave in flat ironed hair? My hair is naturally wavy, thick and course. Whenever I blow it out, I have to flat iron it straight to “tame” it. I don’t want to wear it pin straight for the wedding though, so I wanted to add a little wave to it. Does anyone have any experience with this?

Re: Flat ironed hair
yeah i always tame my hair with my flat iron then style it... i think you'd only have an issue if your hair was japanese straighened

YES! I flat iron mine and then with the flat iron I twist the ends so it curls .. stays better than when I use a curling iron!

Yes, you can do it! I've flat ironed my hair before having it curled/waved.

Re: Flat ironed hair
You can flat iron then curl it, but it's not going to be the same as if you just used the curling iron. You're kind of confusing the hair. What you can do is blow out your hair, and have it set in rollers, or just set it in rollers and dry it, which will give you a nice wave or curl and tame it. (When I was in Beauty school, all the dominican girls did this to their hair and it came out awesome!). Also, if you just blow it out and use the curling iron, the heat from the curling iron can tame it the same way a straight iron can but just with curls or waves, which all depends on the size of the iron and how much you curl at a time.
