my cutesie flowergirl from california gave me a homework!!! i'm supposed to tour flat stanley around new york, create a scrapbook, and short story about his trip. hmmm... have you ladies did this in school?
i am planning to take a picture of him with the LIW background and pretend he was chatting with you all!!!!

I did that in OCtober for my litlle cousin. it was so much fun. You can even get a small photo album and write what you did all week. that is what i did instead of writing a story, i described thepictures and what we did.
I took pictures of flat stanley with my students learning, working and eating dinner with the family. I even took pics of him sleeping with the dogs.

fh and i are actually going to see les miserables this friday so i am taking him... we'll take pictures in times square, les miz, and the toys r us big store. if fh is into it, we'll do the ferris wheel. hehe- i doubt fh will do it tho.
the album is a great idea. i am planning to do a scrapbook pending on how much time i have. also, i need to get the materials.

don't worry, when my niece asked me- i was like, 'ha? who? flat what?' but i just got it from the mail.
it's literally a paper doll who you are supposed to treat like a guest. you need to tour him around, take pictures, and document or write a story about his experience as a guest. it's a school project.

its a book then the kids create their very own boy/girl. its a boy made of paper he is flat so it allows him to travel all over the world easily. he can be mailed, go in luggage.. etc.
anyway the students make their own and mail it around the world (usually to friends/family in other states or areas) those people write what they did with him and maybe take pictures. then mail itback to the school so they can all look at them and read them.

I just heard about flat stanley a few weeks ago, I went to ghetto city schools that were apparently too poor to send flat stanley around the country but FSIL was telling me about it and it sounds awesome, I want a flat stanley!!

lol the children that I work with had that same assignment.. I had Flat Stanley sitting with me at the comptuer (I'm a computer teacher) pretending like he's learning how to surf the Internet.. it was cute and the kids appreciated the 'lesson'

My cousin had sent my Mom a flat stanley years ago. My Mom took him to St. Martin. The pictures were the cutest thing. THey had him on the beach, at a restaurant, etc. I think its such a cute idea!

Yeah I had a gnomad....I had to name him and take him around everywhere I went. It was a project in college. There is a website that you track everything on...it was so much fun!
