Flatware on your registry

Flatware on your registry

I havent gotten to BBB in a while but I feel like i cant add flatware online because i want to feel the weight/quality. Lets just say i do add online, which (not insanely)price flatware did you choose?

i think im looking to add a very casual (but still good quality) set to our everyday flatware and then some nicer ones to go with our good china.

our china is off white base with platinum banding

thanks loveys

Just curious....Are you supposed to register for every day and formal??

I was just going to order one set...
I'm so confused with all of this registering...

i registered for the waterford ballet ones. no1 got us any from our registry.. but it doesnt matter.

costco has waterford flatwear set. service for 8 with the serving utensils i think 50 or 100$ lol

and i bought our everyday utensils at cent 21. sale , half off 20$ service for 4.

but the ballet ones are soo nice and simple.

FH and I had such a hard time choosing flatware, there are so many to choose from. We decided on this one for now:
Martha Stewart Collection with Wedgwood 'Chorale' 5-Piece Place Setting

We wanted something simple because we plan to register for silverware as well.

you definately dont HAVE to but if you are going to host some special dinners and you will be using other dishes besides your everyday ones, you might also want to have seperate and usually more formal flatware. not necessary though of course

Re: Flatware on your registry

Hi, I definitely agree that you need to feel the flatware in your hand! I discovered for instance that I didn't like the ones that get super thin between the handle and the actual fork/spoon part. I also made FH feel them (this was the one thing he was into!) because his hands are much bigger than mine and he takes eating VERY seriously! We ended up with Oneida Lincoln for our everyday, and Gorham Melon Bud Frosted for our formal. You don't need to get 2 separate sets, but my everyday dishes and formal dishes are SO different that it would be hard to find flatware that goes with both. Plus, your everyday will wear and get some rust stains, and I wanted a set reserved to stay nice for formal. Hope this helps!
