flight fares

Anyone know when airlines announce their summer fare sales??

FH and i still havent booked our flight from here to LA because the flights are still expensive. and there are only 2 flights we want to get on to go there, and one to come back (due to our connecting flights). so im anxious to book so we dont mess up our schedule.

can you use credit card points? that might make it seem like they are not as expensive. we both got our roundtrip flights to Cancun for free.

personally, i wouldn't wait since you said there is only one option for coming back. the likelihood that it would sell out might be slim but since its your honeymoon, i just wouldn't chance it. i think its cheapest to buy flights on tuesday/wednesday nights since that's when sales happen.

call a travel agent. that's what they do and they'll know the trends for summer fare sales.
