Flip-flops driving me crazy

If I hear one more person's flip-flops slap their heels when they walk past my office, I am going to scream. I hate that sound and everyone is wearing them today. Ahhhhhhhh!! Right past my office. I think I am going to close the door soon

I don't mind flip-flops outside, but I hate the sound of them here. It's like everyone is wearing either flip-flops or slide sandals and that is all I hear, back and forth, back and forth. One good thing, you always know when someone is coming

It may be just because my office is on a quiet hallway (only one other person, the other two offices are empty) but people pass through to get elsewhere a lot.

Sorry if I have offended any flip-floppers. I'm just going crazy.

FH has such a hatred for flip-flops. I don't know why. I think they're cute. He says flip-flops should only be worn at the beach.
He especially hates it when he sees people wearing flip-flops in the rain, or worse, in the winter!

I was so self-conscious walking out of the office for lunch just now - when I changed from my noisy slides to my noisier flip flops!

We are a VERY casual office. We are a children's book publisher, so we are very artsy and laid-back. When I first started here, I used to dress up in appropriate office wear and every day, people asked where I was going. Was I going out to dinner later? Now I am semi-casual during the week and I wear jeans and Birkenstocks on Fridays.
