flipping out

so i was planning on taking a loan to pay for the remainder of the wedding... i applied and was declined b/c I don't have an extensive credit history!?!

I have no clue what to do. I don't want to cut back on anything...

Can you pay for the rest of the hall with a credit card????

With the hall, it depends on the agreement you made with them. Was it cash only? If not then I don't see why you can't pay by credit card if you wanted to.

I would read my contract

Re: flipping out

Our hall only took a CC as payment on the inital deposit, everything else was cash or check. And final payment has to be certified check or cash. HTH

Re: flipping out

Check your contract, or call your BM. I know that Fox Hollow does not allow that..

Re: flipping out

my hall doesnt allow that.......maybe you can charge some of your other vendors??? good luck

Re: flipping out

If they don't take the CC, check with the bank that you got your credit card from. Most offer checks against that you can use. I know Visa and Master Card does.

Re: flipping out

you can do a cash advance and get the cash

Re: flipping out

OUrs would only take a cc for the deposit and wont take it for anything else

Re: flipping out

I think most places, including vendors only accept CC for the first deposit....everything after is either check or cash?

Try another bank or did you see if your FH could go on as a co-applicant...if he has more of s crdit history it could go in both your names?

i agree with the above post.... see if you FH will co-sign or maybe one of your parents can co-sign.

Can you try another bank or even better, a credit union? In my experience, credit unions can give more favorable terms. Good Luck!

Oooh, that's a good suggestion! I get those checks in the mail from my card a couple of times a year.

Re: flipping out

well it's only cash, check or MO... so I'm going to have to get my mom to cosign on a loan... what a loser!
