So I am using an electronic arm caligrapher Caligraphics that was recommended by my Hall. I sent her a complete list with addresses and inner envelope names, each envelope with a reference number. The list is perfect. Checked and re-checked. I emailed it to her and she inputs it into her system. She faxed me a copy of what she entered so I could proof it and I have the following problems.
1) On the first page alone there are 5 errors! 2) Half my people are missing. She faxed me 7 pages I received all 7. I told her there were 80 addresses I received 51 names back!
I have no faith in this person, her work so far is slop! My problem is I express mailed my envelopes to her yesterday. I need them back I don't want her doing my caligraphy. sigh
She is all the way out in Wantagh I am in Queens. Maybe I can go pick them up.
Sorry so long but I am stressing big time!!!!
Need a good caligrapher with a quick turn around time.

Re: Flipping out!! Caligrapher problem
That's terrible I would just go pick them up. I used A fine letter for my STDs and she was fabulous, but she does them by hand rather that electronically. www.afineletter.com

Re: Flipping out!! Caligrapher problem
Always go with your gut! Go to bloomingquill.com I used Debbie and she was amazing. All of her stuff is hand done. When I got back all of my invites I found 2 errors only- my fault- not hers and she fed exd me new ones right away.
Also- make sure to tell your hall the problems so they can consider recommending someone else.bloomingquill.com

If you are not happy, go get them. You can find someone else that will do the job that way you want it done. You don't have to settle.

Thanks for the suggestions. I am going to call her again to pick up the invitation envelopes. The time spent on the drive is worth the peace of mind.

Re: Flipping out!! Caligrapher problem
Thanks ladies.
I got my envelopes Monday night. I am going to call some of the calligraphers recommended. My FI tried a few prints on the computer and they look great too but we need an envelope feeder.
